Poems
Feb 2017
the righteous step
as I step into this world
the world in which I live
the carpet that's beneath my feet
pine needles and spongy grass slightly give
welcome me much more
than any Persian rug would dare
as freedom's taste that's ever sweet
permeates the mornings air
who could beg for eyes to see
who would dare need ears to hear
when this massive feeling afforded me
comes in oh so clear
Wrote this with much liberty off a quote from Helen Keller.
