The Elder Queen provided shelter from July heat
At times she nourished our bodies and filled our
souls with holiday tales and baked nutmeat
Her beauty was indescribable during the winter
snow
Her fallen cover fertilized our gardens , created warm
bedding for laying hens , filled the air during the Fall fires
Remained a constant source of beauty and security , blessed our
farm more than we'll ever know* .....
