I should have known
By the clues
Where you
Get your news
It’s the internet
If I had to choose
With conspiracy theories
By twos

It isn’t
A mystery
And all can
Plainly see
It’s the First Amendment
That’s key
Which I can pointed out
If need be

And as long
As it’s around
Certain things
Are bound to go down
False news
That exists to confound
In doses
That can make you  drown

Nothing beats
An errant tweet
That folks
Sometimes repeat
Often before
They delete
After laying it
At our feet
