Is there about a completion
as an artist decides it is finished
a losing of interest in the
seeming object remaining..?
Perhaps it is the residue
a residue of objective suggestion
which does not adequately reflect
the soaring subjectivity of
artistic creation..
Or a suggestion of separation
bringing a longing for the
creative origination..
Or a recognition that the
prodigal journey has ended
and that the homelight
is no longer obscured..
Or leaving for others
to report their experience:
a gifted seed of new life
in their perceiving...
