I'm not always warm,
I'm not always kind,
I snap and bite,
Forget to smile,
And refuse to help,
But I'm working on it.

I'm not always clever,
I make mistakes,
And stumble into,
Commitments I can't make,
I fail to sort it all out,
But I'm working on it.

I'm not who I want to be,
I'm not as trustworthy as I'd like,
I lie without thought,
Then tear myself apart,
With the guilt,
Because I'm not there yet.

But I am working on it.
