I wonder a wonder
A squandered dream.
How sudden a movement,
How darkened a beam.

The future I dread
In the hole in my heart,
I've had to embed
In my head,

A future I say
Is the death of me.
Too bad I have wished
I were dead.

That's what the last sane person said to me.
Leaving me to wonder what else he could mean
By saying "You just shouldn't dream".
