Ducks sit on still lakes and Geese graze quietly in meadows. soon they will take flight for warmer climates. The north wind begins to bring down a chill and the morning begins to become misty as the leaves find a hint of color. The sun sets ever lower and cast the shadow of evening earlier each day. People begin to pull out old blankets and air them out in the mid-day sun, as cool breezes blow through them. Firewood is gathered and piled up as the nights become colder and the skies become clearer, so that the stars shine a little brighter. No mistake can be made, the world is in transition and the time has come for things to settle down for rest. Fall is upon us and it's presence can be felt everywhere.
