(20 minute poetry)

They prodded and poked me
laughed and made jokes
and I took it all in my stride

I am as wide as the ocean is deep
and keep my thoughts to myself.

But they won't laugh at or **** me no more
I have the keys now and can open that door

got to find that door first, but I know that it's out there somewhere.

Anyway
I have now reached an age and although I'm no safer, not a sage nor a seer
things become clearer to me.

When I return if reincarnation is real
I shall strive to be better than this which I was
unless I come back as a cockroach and then it won't bother me what people think of me
they'll think it anyway.

The journey and that's what we've been on was long but never boring.

I was caught up in the romances and
if ladies were chances I've had more than my share

Born to perform and what else could I be,
a Belisha in the beacon of a pier head and of poetry
a crest in the wave far out to sea
ready to fall
I wait
patiently
for
the end.
