We carved constellations
We slipped through the stars
                           Drew deeply new breath
                           When love became ours.
 But fog faded in
Clouds covered the night
                            I only gave in
When you gave up the fight.
Slowly all storms pass
To clear moonlit skies
                            But stars seem less bright
                            When not in your eyes.

*Author's Note:*
I only gave in when you gave up the fight.
Thank you for giving up, or I would never have had the courage to give in.
Goodnight, and goodbye.
