I listened
As you tried to explain
How you looked at the moon
The beauty it holds the night
How it consoles you
And holds you in its light
As you stare only to know
That will never be able to go
How you felt sorry for the wolf
Cause you understood it's howl
Yearning for the moon
Wondering how life could be so foul
To put something so magical in sight
But simply out of reach
I watched you as you looked up in the sky
As the moon illuminated what was falling from your eye
You think I don't understand
But what you don't know is
I am not a man
And you are not a woman
I'm the wolf
And you're the moon
