Catching the winds and favourable tides
ride well the high waves.
Go carefully dear friend, the sea and I
will unfurl you the deepest
of harbours, ports within sight of shore.
We will usher you through,
landed and storm-proofed and warmed
with our preparation, glad
to give welcome your reaching of home.
Only a weathered heartbeat
away you will be from me as the ocean
urges your journey
steadily forward to its yearned-for end,
so until closely held after
anchoring safely, do go carefully friend.
