Aug 2016
The sun now cascading over
the water, like a mystical haze,
feeling the warm summer breeze,
as I stroll along the shoreline

My mind is one with the universe,
waves caress the shoreline as
children frolic, and lovers
enfold each other on beach
towels near by.

Hours pass, like sand in anΒ Β hour-glass
I sit on a rock;
I make a mental note of a picturesque sunset.

Time has come to put the memory
of this day behind me and return home
as I reflect on a beautiful day,
I am saddened that it ended so soon.
