Alcohol and anger.
Blood and broken glass.
Neighbors milling so confused,
What evil has come to pass?

Past two in the morning on a Friday night.
Drunken words spark the fight.
They go blow for blow, drop for drop.
Only the sirens made it stop.

A terrible hand dealt by fate.
A violent display of pointless hate.
Disrupting the peace and harmony,
Of our happy sanctuary.

Now our doors will be locked up tight.
And no one dares go out in the night.
Safety's been taken from our home.
We're no longer "community" we stand alone.

This is the destruction you'll always find,
When ***** fueled hate rules the mind.
This is the chaos you will always see,
From OUR gang filled society…
Written after a gang fight broke out at my apartment complex. I was 19 and it was my first apartment. I moved within weeks of this event.
