Nothing to do in a cloudburst
with the exception of watching new rivers control the avenues
Whirlpools choking storm drains ,
town squares becoming bayous
Colorful umbrellas in every direction
Townspeople quicken their pace , seeking protection
Big trucks sending puddles airborne ,
fastidious Pigeons bathing in the Summer
storm
Would give a blue nickel to join in
on the fun , a needed break from the August Sun* ...
