Tis the season for joy and reflection, as summer fades into fall. Warm days will be replaced by long shadows and shorter days. Leaves will turn and become the hues of the rainbow. Firewood will be stacked and place for pets to lay lazily and warm themselves. Hay fields will be cut one last time and the bails will be stored tightly in barns in preparation for hay rides and a cold winter. Some will be a little older and some will come to see new wonder as the young come of age and truly experience the seasons change for the first time. In the midst of turmoil and change, let us not forget that it tis the season and not ourselves that should be different. Let us embrace things with the same kindness and love for others that we show in the glad days of summer, even though the season has changed.
