How many are walking through this life
With Helen Keller borrowed eyes
Not seeing what's in front of them
Or what is coming round the bend

Like some spaced out cosmonaut
A porthole view is all they've got
Or a 5th grader at recess
Not much going on in their heads

Reality for most of them
Is seen on T.V. in a darkened den
Not knowing all along that in time
We've become a society, deaf, dumb, and blind
