Todays my last day
In bama town
And I'm sad and glad about it.

I watched my father bat
My eyeballs like never ending camera lenses
He's the most successful
And possibly fulfilled
He's ever been.

I asked him on the way home
In his perfect bat mobile convertible
"Do you ever look back and remember when you first started out and how hard that was?"
And he told me a tale of how it was.
And advised me on it again later
As I read, wrote notes, and taught my little brothers dog
How to jump and swim in the pool

Without fear.
