Hunkered down in summer green and blue
the Swallows have returned all the way from Africa
such a tenacious little bird, always a welcome back delight, opening up our hearts.
These are the days you never need to roam away from, the wanderlust of winter has gone. Days you would hope to still be around for, for just one more time, summer warmth. These are the days you sat and dreamed you would one day live, while making plans to travel to a simpler way of life, to hunker down within the Summers green and blue, and watch the Swallows in flight.
