Dawn sweepers out
clearing the
detritus of darkness

Chaos and disorder of
night giving way, reluctant,
to pretence at industry

Wantonness abandoned
until the black silk sheet
renders revellers invisible.

O passions
you are
what you are

Logos and light
you may merge

And crave the gloaming
