Get thee away from me
I give you no charity.

The pauper looks into the cold of his eyes,
from the pavement,
a colder place where no lies lay under the cardboard crate

wait, he cries,
I'm not the enemy
I'm just a guy who's down on his luck needing a hand up,

then stand up and face me
or get thee away from me

give or be done to as others would treat you
we all need a home to come home to.
