Whisper in the Wind
A young girl
From a broken home
Walked to church
Down the street alone
The snow has just
Begun to fall
As she opened the door
To the entrance hall
The sanctuary
Calm and at peace
As she stepped up
Seeking release
She closed her eyes
And spoke a prayer
As a presence
Filled the air
When she left
Her home so black
She had not expected
An answer back
