In the dark night sky
Far stars may be dead
But a single thought
Swirls in my head

A deep yearning
For the things unknown
And ever since birth
Has this desire grown

To see the great mysteries
That haunt my mind
To search the cosmos
My soul to find

But the thing with such questions
Both a blessing and a curse
Is that they only breed more
For better or worse

And long after I'm gone
The world passed away
Shall my memory linger
To again light the way

Of a curious young soul
Peering at the night sky
Wondering if indeed
Stars can truely die
