Maybe, you're afraid to love?
You say:
"Nothing good can ever come of it.
When the veil is removed,
All you're left with
Is an insatiable feeling of hunger.
Hunger
For warmth and their touch
Hunger
To see, just once more,
The care and desire in their eyes
When they gaze past your walls
To the soul within.
A growing
Relentless hunger
To feel
Wanted."
