Poems
May 2016
&&&
& I thought
that the pink pills
would slide down
my throat
like ice cream
but I gagged
and choked
& I thought
that a footprint
vanished as
soon as
more snow
fell
& I thought
that a
final prayer
howled from
within the
shaking temple
of my body
would set
me free
& I thought
I thought
I thought
that suicide
would be the
end of me
& yet it
birthed me
back into
the world
& my newly
weaved pink
skin slided
into a time
before into a
a narrative
that was
impossible
before
