We do not run
laughing and dancing
splashing through
puddles in in the rain.

We do not watch
the storms start
and stop
sitting together
talking about the weather
whether it is raining or not.

We do not play tag
or duck duck goose,
take off our shoes
and walk through the mud.

We do not
laugh and play
like the children
of yesterday
but maybe
we should.
