Two Earths Collide
Blue water flows underneath the small bridge
The turquoise flowing calmly past the singing birds
The warm smell of clean air
Sifts through my nostrils
The green trees hold their heads high
The leaves hum a gentle lullaby
The dark clouds hover above the snowy mountains
Until a ray of sunlight flares up the white peaks
The peaks erupt orange like a volcano
The sunlight shimmering over the gray clouds
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I see a frail yellowing building smoking a giant cigarette
Black smoke rising calmly from its cancerous lungs
I can see the silver lining disappear
They form the silhouette of a dark cloud
I hear the abandoned bridges wailing eulogies
With dry sand flowing underneath
I see lifeless dust settled on the unused metallic cars
All rusted beyond recognition
I see the gray ocean of space stretched
Beyond the horizonβ¦across this broken world
I hear the brown trees rustle their deathβ¦.our death
This is our apocalypse
Another civilization destroyed
Another civilization added to the history books.
