we let each other in

whenever it is convenient.

two lost souls who find solace

in each others arms.

but you’ll never be mine

and I’ll never be yours.

we play this song and dance

over and over.

until one of us gets hurt

and shies away.

only till our loneliness finds its way

back into each others arms.
