Stray Dogs.
He liked being on the edge
Liked it fine
Walking into the fire
Better than walking through the puddles
Just better
Stray dogs have more fun
Always on the run
No nice blankets
Nowhere to call home
Just nowhere
Black night's watch couples
Gazing silently
Words strained
Trying to recapture time
Just trying
Death breaks up families
Bringing loneliness
Loneliness breeds fear
Nothing left
Just nothing
Stray dogs die in the wild
Free till the end
Leaving that beautiful trail
For others to follow
Just follow.
