An old man walked slowly into the dark
A man so thin, with so little skin and shining bone; he was almost a skeleton:
Two shots, till
Sundown

// *verse

In the dust and the heat, where the devils and the angels meet
And after nights on the run, being chased by the sun
One hand shoots the whiskey,
The other hand shoots the gun

// verse
The trail of life has a devil in the road
Two shots left, no time to reload
Temptation got me on the run
Shoot the whiskey or shoot the gun?

Two shots, till
Sundown
