I'm laying here trying to heal
Wishing so bad...you were here
Holding me close
Stroking my hair, holding me near.
I understand why
Things have to be
It doesn't stop the longing
To have you here with me
Just to look into your eyes
And feel your warm embrace
The touch of your skin on mine
The warmth and love in your face
I feel as if I am running out of time
And I don't want that day to come
Without knowing what it's like
To finally be at home
In the arms of someone who loves me
That I can freely love in return
To share the last of my sunsets
Until our lives adjourn.
