We weren't the best,
We weren't the worst
Many things were thrown at us
Our skins broke open-
We never died

Healed wounds,
But nothing else.
All forces of nature
Thrown came back continuously

And eventually we broke off,
Like leaves in autumn.
We fell-
To the ground
Got trampled on
Like we were nothing

And died of a lack
of supplements and supplies.
