with each delicate word
i placed a tiny parachute
a seed upon the dandelion

so fragile was my trust
but a breath could take it
far away

words.
graceful, charming, eloquent
planted more tiny little seeds
upon the tender head

gathering.
forming a beautiful round
feathery ball

made with the seeds of my faith,
my hope
my trust

and then...

holding the stem

      within your hand

you blew...

                                 and so      your words

and     the seeds

      one
                                                       by

one

                                               floated

                                                                                away...
Be careful of the words you say,
keep them short and sweet.
You'll never know,
from day to day,
which ones you'll have to eat."

Harsh and cruel words can be the undoing of everything.
