Feb 2016
you taught me how to trust with my eyes closed
then showed the blind the whole world
my world became the orbs that held me in them
and within mine you became frozen

with every movement your lips made
I reserved the right to keep those words
and for my heartbeat that raced in your name
you reserved the right to my life

together we each learnt how to fly
and separated during take off
now I see you in the horizon
up above my world so high

somewhere ahead I'll take a left turn
I'm mapping out a new destination
beyond the tremor of touch you left behind
I can feel new sensations
