I LIKE BERNIE

I like Bernie
I swear I do
The question is
Can he follow through
So what’s the answer
I wish I knew
But I don’t even
Have a clue

I like Bernie
And all he stands for
But it’s reality
I can’t ignore
If upon the President
They declared war
What does Bernie think
For him lies in store

I don’t see
That big a schism
Between Food Stamps
And Socialism
For most
The safety net is a given
And it contributes
To better living

Revolutions are fought
But few are won
By people who
Can’t get the job done
Now I’m not sayin’
Bernie is that one
But what are his odds
Slim to none
