Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice
From What I tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I knew enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

እሳትና በረዶ

‹‹ይህች ዓለም
በሳት ትጠፋለች!››
ይላሉ አንዳንዶች
‹‹በበረዶ!›› ሌሎች፡፡
ፍላጎቴን በምኞት ሚዛን
እንደፈተሽኩት
እሳት ከሚሉት ጎራ ነው ያለሁት!
መጥፋት ካለብኝ ግን ዳግም
ለውድመት በረዶም
እንዳለው ትልቅ ጉልበት፣
እንዲሁም ተመጣጣኝነት፣
ከምሬት ፣በስፋት፣
አግኝቼአለሁ ትምህርት!
