No Wonder
I was mothered by
A *** slave
And a servant
She never had
A life of her own
She was
Crippled
By Irish
Catholic
Crap
He taught me much,
All that he knew
Of poetry
And misogyny
I am still
Extricating myself
From silly
Inherited habits
No wonder
I live alone!
All the women
Have known
In their bones
