breaking ground
I have heard I have seen the vagaries
and vagrancies of society.
Tasted the bitterΒ Β the sweetest of
beauties and beasts.
Used a ***** to trench a slop pit for
my blood to run out with the filth.
A spoon where I dipped the manna of heaven
unto my lips.
Broken ground to bury friends, pets , and lovers
deep. Used my heart to bring them all back up.
Used my dreams to believe
and nightmares to deceive.
I always had tomorrow.
Now that the calendar rushes so from
January to December year to year
I paint the world better I dreamed
than lived in.
