beside me, laughing at my

his head in shared silent mirth.
His last words – ‘Stop it, Joe, you’re-‘
An attempt at tanka, which as I understand it is similar to haiku format, but with 5 lines of 31 syllables in all, distributed 5-7-5-7-7.
