in history today i learned
that in the late 1890's,
America realized the only way to get
Puerto Rico was to be there when
the war was over
i think it's the same as the girl you love
being in love with someone else
the only way to get her is
to be there when it's over
to be there during the war to help her
if you are in love with someone
who is not in love with you,
i think the best thing you can do is to
be there for them
and maybe one day they will realize
that you're the only one
who ever was
