I wish you'd come home.
We sleep in different beds,
Eat at different tables,
And read different papers,
But I miss you.

For the longest time I was scared of you.
Scared of what you could do,
Or who you could do it with.
But I was ok with all that
Cause you'd come home.

You'd leave one day,
And not say a word.
But I didn't worry,
Cause you're strong.
And you'd come home.

It seems now though something changed
Like you're scared to come home
Like there's a trap waiting for you
Maybe it's just me
I wish you'd come home.

Cause I always loved your travel
Loved the smile it gave you
Loved the look you'd have
The joy when you eventually returned
When you'd come home.

So please, just call.
Write me a letter or a message.
Cause I miss you,
And I worry about you,
Cause you haven't yet come home.
We'll make it I think.
