Dec 2015
Winter arrives
as the green of summer turns,
darkness creeps into our minds.
As we struggle to survive
another dark season.

Cold all around
as nature fights
itself in winter,
a single December rose.
Standing solitary.

Alone on bare branches,
withstanding the cold,
going against mother nature
and her regulation.

It may not be perfect
as roses go,
but standing alone against the cold
as the only rose,
made it the most beautiful.
This piece was inspired by a single rose I took a picture of this morning. When I at some point publish the picture goes with this work. Sorry I could not share it with you.
