Dec 2015
the enveloping rush
of the gushing stream
very beneath
was a murky scene

dabbled and spanked
this invisible oar
i'd been pensive
ruminating this turbid fate

whelmed with terror
of what lies within
i'd come to realize
our canoe was sinking

better off dead
and get off the paddle
gawking the surface
they were only friends
