Dec 2015
Quiet and tired
But can't fall asleep
As the music plays
He tries counting sheep
Contemplating life
Can't find any hope
Maybe it'd be easier
Just to tie the rope
Thoughts racing through his head
Like,
'This world has too many people
Who cares if I were dead'
Dead inside
He begins to cry
As he takes his knife
And let's it slide
Across his wrists
Across his arms
Across his feet
And across his palms
Sheets stained with red
He starts to drown
Beneath his bed
Cuts too far
Cuts too deep
The last breath comes out
He drifts off to sleep
Sleep forever
Dreams for a lifetime
His soul arose
And began to climb
It's not his time
Not his time to die
Love sends his soul back
Back inside
For there are people
Who love and care
About this boy
There is no spare
There is just one
Just one indeed
It makes you special
So you need to lead
Lead on with your life
Just like everyone too
Because just like them
There's someone who loves you
