The look in her eyes
like a gaze into space
now empty and losing stars

She counts the tears like minutes
She walks the same road
The one that ends at her wrist

She crosses the street
Trying to find solace in a dull blade
Red sludge seeps into the crevicesΒ Β I call my skin

The glisten in her eyes return
Luminosity claims her essence as if it never left
Cautiously breathing life into her soul

Giving her pain a reason
Giving her a flash of tranquility
Giving her something more than regret
