My emotions roll in waves
Ups and downs are an understatement
On the surface
Events are the same
Flowing in one direction
Yet beneath those steady waves
Are currents flowing in any direction as they choose
I can only sit back and observe
These happenings in nature
Powerless
I am not in control of myself
