I wake to the smell of sausage gravy,
which slowly reminds me I haven't eaten
in the past 12 or so hours.
Time for fuel, fill me up with love.
I don't need the empty calories and fat.
I need love and affection;
You'll give me your full attention and I'll give you all of mine.
Spread your beautifully made wings around my hips and fly me to the next place that comes to mind.

I want no part of society, as long as you promise
to stay by my side for eternity.
Kiss me every morning with the same intensity as before.
I'll promise to love you longer and harder than the rest.
We'll take this world in our bare hands
and make it ours.

You make me feel invincible,
we can do whatever we set our minds to.
Together, for the rest of our sorry little lives.
