As The Rose Does Tremble
Our meetings in the park
you in black against the greenery
and that look in your eyes most mystic
does make my mind stretch like elastic
I hold out my gift to you
as the rose does tremble
every time
every time we meet
How many years have I been alone
how many years misunderstood
then you walked into my dying and gave me life
your face glowing with goodness I see that is true
for that and other wonderful facts, I do love you
as the rose does tremble
every time
every time we meet
I am not afraid of my feelings anymore
I have endured much to find you
here in my pocket I have something for you
it's a data chip proclamation
it opens folders never unfolded
as the rose does tremble
every time
every time we meet
