This pain is eating me day after day,
Like minuscule maggots chewing at decay.
The lonely vulcher pecking at the dead rodent
While I'm still lost in the moment.
The moment where your lips touched mine,
Tasting like nothing more than aged wine.
Your lips gave me a hint of serenity,
Then thinking 'what has gotten in to me?'
The moment where I was laughing in the shed
Where your lust filled eyes were being fed.
Your eyes sparked a fire in my heart,
Making my world feel like a piece of art.
The moment we were in the cemetery
Talking about how absurd it is to bury
But now look at me,
Trying to bury what used to be.
"Kiss me" is where it all began that day,
But now it's nothing but minuscule maggots chewing at decay.
