In the garden of my heart lives a rose without a thorn
Her timeless beauty I behold from afar
Rooted in the fertile soil of love
And sprouted of friendship born

Cared for intently, protected with might
Fragile, her petals are worn
The flower of my garden's delight
Rooted in the fertile soil of love
And sprouted of friendship born

Her lovely slender stem though strong
Yields to a springtime breeze
Gracing my garden with ease
Rooted in the fertile soil of love
And sprouted of friendship born

How is a rose without a thorn
Protected from a sinister deed
Gathered too quickly without care
Would only cause my heart to bleed
Rooted in the fertile soil of love
And sprouted of friendship born

With all due care, I shall cherish her there
In the garden of my heart's delight
My rose without a thorn
Rooted in the fertile soil of love
And sprouted of friendship born
