Honestly?
I just want to hold your hand
As we drift into sleep.
I want your face to be
The first thing I see
As we wake in the morning.
I want to see you at
Your best and your worst
I want to spend all
Of my time
With you.
And I want that to be something
That you want too.
I want you in a way
That probably isn’t
Completely fair.
I want you to lay your
Head on my chest
As I run my fingers
through your hair.
I want it to be us,
And
The world out there.
Outside my window
There’s nothing for us.
Even though you won’t see it,
Your smile makes me blush.
I want you in a way,
I know I can’t have.
Because, ultimately,
I’ve realised,
It’s your love I can’t have.
Because in all actuality,
You’d never want me
This bad.
